The “L.A.U.N.C.H” program offers students hands-on experience across various city departments, opening the door to potential careers in public service. To create excitement and drive applications, we developed an engaging video showcasing the program’s opportunities, featuring testimonials from past interns, and highlighting real-world experiences. This video was strategically distributed in local schools to reach students directly.

Our Approach:
Our approach centered on showing how these professions directly contribute to improving the community, while demonstrating the meaningful impact interns could have. The video was scripted specifically to resonate with Gen Z, emphasizing quality of life and the ability to make a difference through public service. We strategically distributed the video to local schools to reach students directly, driving engagement and interest.

Outcome:
The video significantly boosted awareness and enthusiasm for the program, resulting in several times more applications compared to the previous year. Additionally, we developed the LAUNCH acronym (Learn, Apply, Uncover, Navigate, Connect, and Harness) and created the program’s branding, logo, and campaign. These elements helped establish a cohesive identity for the program and further amplified its visibility and impact. The success of the campaign has encouraged the City of Brentwood to explore expanding the program next year to accommodate increased demand.

We partnered with Ace Hardware to conceptualize, film, and edit a series of videos tailored to their marketing goals. Filming took place at multiple store locations, showcasing real products and setups that resonated with customers. To bring the videos to life, we cast and directed on-screen talent, recorded a professional voiceover for a consistent brand tone, and ensured each video was optimized for both TV and social media platforms. Each piece blended vibrant visuals with a friendly and informative narrative, staying true to Ace Hardware’s trusted brand identity.

Focusing on Evanghelo Vineyards, it tells the story of one of the world’s oldest vineyards, blending breathtaking visuals with compelling storytelling to showcase its historic significance and cultural impact. The video emphasizes the vineyard’s role in preserving Antioch’s agricultural roots while remaining a unique gem in the modern landscape.

Our Approach:
The video was shot over the span of several months, allowing us to capture the vineyard’s natural beauty and historic vines throughout different seasons. We gathered footage of the vines, the harvest, the wine processing, and the bottling process, visually conveying the uniqueness of Evangelho wines. Interviews with key figures provided authentic insights into the vineyard’s history and significance. To instill a sense of pride in the community, we avoided using stock footage, understanding that residents and audiences value genuine representation and might question the authenticity of generic visuals. This approach ensured the video resonated deeply with both the local community and a wider audience.

Outcome:
The video’s release sparked widespread acclaim, inspiring several articles, including one featured in a prestigious wine writing competition. An article about the vineyard, influenced by the video, won recognition in the Jancis Robinson Wine Writing Competition 2021 (read the winning piece here).
